Exercise May Help Curb Parkinson's Symptoms

There’s a great story in today’s Washington Post about how strenuous exercise may help curb Parkinson’s symptoms. The article explains that researchers have found “evidence that challenging the muscles through repetitive resistance motion far beyond one’s comfort zone can diminish some symptoms.”

We all know we should exercise for our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. But it’s a greater positive to see that exercise can help delay the effects of such a debilitating disease. And if it can help with Parkinson’s, why not other illnesses? I’ll be thinking about this when my alarm goes off at 5am tomorrow and I groan at the prospect of running in the dark. 🙂
