Still, for 2016 I am a Maverick, in that I’m part of Maverick Multisport’s Age Group race team, along with 7 other women and 12 men. Maverick Multisport, a 4-year-old team, also has 7 Pro Triathletes on its roster, including the Wassner twins, Laurel and Rebeccah, whom I have followed since I became a triathlete. Needless to say, I feel very privileged to be part of such a small and select group of athletes.
Team sponsors include Infinit Nutrition, which I’ve been using on the bike since 2011, Sugoi, one of my favorite triathlon clothing brands, with sizing that fits my petite (but muscular!) frame, as well as Argon 18 bikes, Enve Composites wheels, and Jaybird Sport wireless earbuds, all brands I hope to become more familiar with in 2016. Maverick’s partners include TriBike Transport, who transported my Felt B2 to and from Zell am See, Austria, for the 2015 Ironman 70.3 World Championships with professionalism and care.
I’m looking forward to a busy and demanding – but fun! – 2016; I’m planning to test my limits as I prepare for my first Ironman, Mont Tremblant, in August, and put up some great performances. With just 8 age group females on Maverick Multisport – and yes, I’m the oldest!- there’s no hiding in the shadows on this team!
And now, here’s the part where you benefit. Maverick Multisport has given me permission to share these discounts with all my readers, so have at ’em!
